When I was young and dumb I joined the Marines and promptly got myself a few tattoos. Fast forward 20+ years to now, when I'm old and dumb and I have been having the urge to get new ink. I settled on a traditional drawing style based on the "fouled anchor" many sailors recognize, but instead of an anchor I chose a circle hook design that means more to me as a fisherman. Just got it Saturday and it's healing nicely:

Looks very good, Jason. I've been watching too many episodes of Ink Master...afraid of choosing who will give me a screwed-up tat.

I haven't gotten one in over 20 years either. Do they still hurt? :smt044

They don't hurt nearly as much as I remember, and it went quick. I think I chose a more reputable artist this time compared to the low class places I was frequenting in the Marines in 1993  :smt005

Moved to Milwaukee this January for a job promotion. I really wanted to get back to California but just couldn't get the career to line up with an opening there. But, Lake Michigan is a pretty cool place to paddle and has loads of salmon. My wife and I are still dreaming of either getting to California or Florida for the next move. Warmer and fishy-er is my goal  :sunny:
