While browsing for the Navionic+ chip I found this Nautic Ingisht Pro.
I have Lowrance Elite-5 HDI. I only fish salt. This chip is a lot cheaper than the Navionic+.

Anyone has used these 2 chips above?
How does it compare to the Navionic+ chip?
What's the overall experience?

I had the choice between nautic and navionics recently and went with navionics. Navionics will work in Lowrance and Humminbird. Plus i have it on my phone and tablet. I prefer keeping the different platforms as similar as possible.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

I also have a similar lack of clarity as to what works best for each application. I have a Navionics Gold (which I have used for the last couple of years) and just recently got an Nautic Insight Pro chip. Now I am looking for something to use on lakes.

Spent many hours looking at the ocean and inland on the two charts  and it seems like the Nautic Insight Pro has more countours and is more messy to look at until you zoom in but has more detail. The Navionics has less info and is easier to look at but when I looked at a local lake like Del Valle the deep countours are funky and run into the shore.

I think both chips allow you to scan you own countours and download the data to improve the charts. I have not updated or scanned anything but sounds like for the Insight chip you can access the updated maps for free and the Navionics requires you to pay a $50 subscription per year?

$h!+ Is really confusing for me so I also am waiting for FishingForTheCure, Racing Rob or WingShooter to help clarify whats what for what!

I have spent a couple hours browsing it's confusing.
I wish lowrance does a side-by-side comparison.

I have the Navionics app on my iPhone and the Nautic insight pro chip on my hook 5. The bathymetry on the Nautic is much more detailed and accurate. I don't know if a Navionics chip would have better data than their iPhone app.

Let me know any specific areas you are interested in and I'll send photos of those as well.

Really changes what you see when you zoom in or out.

What do you prefer?

I prefer the less cluttered one but there seems to be some useful stuff on Nautic charts including information on fresh water fish location, seasons and lure selection as well as the more detailed countours.

I just got a good deal on two Nautic Pro V16 chips. Compare it to the stock lowrance, this chip has so much more. It displays rock where I don't think it even exists. I chose 2 spots to compare, HMB and Dux. I think it's a great chip.

BTW, whoever need the above chip, I am willing to sell at the cost I get since I only use 1.
