Meet Frankfishing at the boat ramp at 7am.  Jeff (non-NCKA) and I drove together.  Had no love until about 11am.  I got one trout 19 1/2 inches and 4.4 lbs.  Got him on a rainbow dodger and worm.

Frank started shore fishing and got 2 nice trout.  I got there about 1pm and lost a nice one right before net range. We started trolling back to the ramp at 2 pm.  Windy day.

At least you got a couple of nice fish, did you fish down by the dam. That place is hard to fish when it get windy. any day on the water is a great day.

Pat,

That is Frankfishing in the photo.  He got his two fish in Scrow Canyon near where the floating bathroom should be.  I got my fish at the mouth of the Canyon.  Opposite shoreline of the big tires.  Jeff got one little trout 13" trolling in near the no wake area.

San Pablo reservoir is a "no contact" reservoir and I have seen the park police arrest people for having their feet in the water.  The F&G warden and the park police are not the most pleasant law enforcement people you will meet.

Ken and Frank -

Way to go. Sounds like things have slowed down from the opener. May hit SB on Saturday. Luckily Frank didn't have his feet in the water. :smt011

Here's a shot of Ken with his whooper trout and a couple of the just under 8 lbs. that I caught. Sitting on the side lines some times works out. Sure am glad that there is no sign in the background saying San Pablo Reservoir or I would be up S#@$ creek with out a paddle. Busted big time...

Next time Frank,

Maybe we should launch from the Dam side.  Other posts have said it is OK.  You will need to bring your wheels.

Thanks, for posting the pic.

Its definitely OK to launch by the main entrance you just have to deal with the shore fishermen some time they can be packed in there, Count me in.
