“I got a bass fever, and the only prescription is more cowbell!”

Well, actually the prescription is more bass fishing. :smt003

Also want to see what the winter has done to my favorite delta location.
Might still be a little early for the fish...but I'm ready.
Plan to be at the ramp around 7ish. Company is always welcome. Ch69.

What do the river levels look like Al? With the latest storm I assume they are up a bit.

I looked at the Cosumnes on the way to work this morning. It's up and real muddy.

The slough at DM doesn't have water flow like the river and ends up a dead end. I'm more concerned on how muddy the water might be.

Might swing by there tonight on my way home.

Took the long way home this afternoon to check a few areas.

The Moke at Wimpys is stained and high. Very muddy.

The Sac along Walnut Grove is running high and is also very brown.
Huge chunks of trees floating down the river. Looks dangerous.

The gates at the Cross Cut Channel are closed. I stopped to talk to a young man striper
fishing at the gates. He was using sardines. He hadn't caught anything yet today, but his poles
kept jumping around from the bites.

Last stop was DM. The water looked muddy there too, but not as bad as the Sac.
Water was at the high tide mark and calm. Saw a couple fish roll on the surface.

I'm hoping the muddy stain will settle down some by Sunday.
