unSCruz 2016 ~ Regional Burning Man Event

unSCruz 2016  is coming soon; May 6th -8th

         Tickets go on sale @ early February!  This will be the third year this event is being held at the fairgrounds in Watsonville and this year is expecting its largest participation ever.

A 3-day, 2-night camp out and cultural festival of dance, music, art and free expression, on the beautiful lawn of the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds! There are theme camps, music camps, art cars, fire art, fire dancers, costumes, lounges, EL wire and lots of glowy things at night. Who puts on UnSCruz? YOU DO! UnSCruz is a completely not-for-profit, participant-driven event! This event IS what YOU bring to it (volunteering, performing, theme camps, etc.). UnSCruz is an official Burning Man Regional Event. This essentially means, we are endorsed by them, we receive NO money from them, we are NON-commercial in every way, we abide by the 10 principles, and ticket sales are the ONLY way to generate the money needed to pay the bills. Everyone is a volunteer; no one is paid a penny.

This is a great way to get a taste of the 'Burner' culture before jumping in head first for big Burning Man event in Aug/Sept.

I've been helping out in the planning stages as a Volunteer for this event.  Looks to be shaping up to be the LARGEST one yet locally.  They are now of Tier 2 ticket pricing ... the longer you wait, the more the tickets cost!!!  Free Parking!
