I was about to ask the same cart question till I saw this thread. I just traded my left foot for wheeleez. Can't wait to try it out.

i was one of the newbie that went with something else beside wheeleez. Now I have two wheels. A scupper style (hobie hd wheels) and a wheeleez.

I find the scupper style to be quick however it means unloading and tilting the kayak to the side at the end of the day.

The wheeleez once its on the kayak and is position correctly and LOCKED down, it makes wheeling the kayak anywhere concrete, sand, stairs, curb...a piece of cake. I can pull the kayak with EASE. However if it slips from the middle of the kayak to say closer to the end for whatever reason, the load is heavier! Center of balance is off. This seem to be the case at the end of the day HAHA.

I'm getting the hang of it but with the few tips I got on here WORKS Awesome.

pro tip from AlexB and others:

use your paddle and place it behind the wheeleez so it doesn't move!! After doing that, loading it on the wheeleez is much easier even on a slope.

I notice it would slip going uphill or if I'm pulling through sand. Next time after I tighten it down after loading it up, I need to tighten it down again after moving a few feet just to be sure it will not slip!!

Since once it slips, you have to readjust again.

If I need only one wheels, I would get the WHEELEEZ!! Hands down :)

I bought some wider straps on Amazon and the slipping is never an issue. They're 1 1/2" wide and have really good "buckles".  The brand is Koastal Keepers.  I use the same straps to car top and secure the yak to my trailer.  They don't slip back like the 1" straps always do unless you knot them which ends up abrading the strapping.  I used to have the wide Malone wheels but finally bought the Wheeleez due to poor performance on sand by the Malones.  The combination of Wheeleez and the Koastal Keeper straps is perfect.

I'd love to pull together a list of all the kayak cart threads someday.  :smt044 They all end the same. :smt005 Wheeleez should offer NCKA a direct buy option at discount as well.  :smt002

Do the wheeleez ever go on sale? Or is there a retailer that has them available with some sort of discount code? It's the cheapness in me trying to save a buck.

REI offers a 20% coupon once or twice a year and you can save that way.  Think you have to be an REI member though.

It all ends the same in an unfortunate way.  I think like 95% of the people will recommend big beach wheeleez, yet the OP will usually opt for some different wheels.    :smt012

Hopefully 4est will consider the input of the members here!   :smt003

This was exactly what I ask for,
thank you all for your input.

Dos anyone know if there will be a wheeleez sales rep at the GSX in May?

The C-tug cart that I have now has 1" shafts, dos anyone know if the wheeleez come in that size or are they 3/4"?
be sweet to have that cart with the wheeleez.

Yes Wheeleze 30cm polyurethane tire/wheel (the good ones) comes with various shaft sizes, here is the one for 1 inch,

http://secure.ultracart.com/cgi-bin/UCEditor?ADD=WZ1-30UC&MERCHANTID=WZINC

If you're going to go that route make sure they fit your cart and that you have clearance for the yak, at 30 cm they will stickup 15cm (about 6") above the axle also they are fat and may fit onto your axle but the axle might not stick out far enough to go thru the wheel without the wheel hitting the cart.

Ask me how I know these things?

Wheelezw sell lots of parts, just not frames  :smt012
