I was researching teardrops and little campers a while back, sucking up all the info and tech I could get, then that one was in Sunset mag.

Initially, I was wowed. It has some cool features but upon closer scrutiny I found some real beneficial and intuitive things are missing, IMHO. Annnnd, it's supremely expensive.

If you can produce a bunch and sell them at that price, we are in the wrong biz.

Damn.

I've been looking at this one.

Probably my winter project.  Maybe I could turn around and sell it for a bazillion dollars?

The CLC kit is $1300.  Love the lines on their teardrop kit though!  $1800 for the full parts kit.

Well no one guessed so I'll just tell ya.
And believe me, you couldn't have guessed high enough.
STARTING price, $63,900.
You read that right, $63,900.
In comparison it must make my truck around $350,000.  :smt044

But hipsters want to make $100 an hour building them, on their own schedule!

No crapper and no cooking.  Believe me, you are NOT in the wrong business.  That is, not unless your business is to throw away your capital investment trying to sell an idea that is totally impractical.
