Very busy day at the port, alot of shore fisherman and kayaks on the water

I got onto the water roughly 930, later than I wanted. Just happy I was able to go.
Water temp 55-60 degrees and clarity maybe 4 feet with a green tinge .  Fish finder died (battery) in the first two hours so I just sight fished and went by memory
Had no luck with swim baits and crank baits. Later in the after noon trolled an blade runner Alabama rig with 3 3" pearl white paddle tail swim baits, final two were 5". Hooked a 25" striper with in 15 min of trolling.

Ive mainly fished for black bass, but this was my first striper EVER! and man am I hooked! It was a blast pulling that beast in! Really the first time Ive had a fish take line on me. All eyes from the shore were on me and I did NOT want to loose it. I'm glad I had my 30lb braid on that reel  :smt005

Also where do you get those cool curved fish measures?

Great job! I was out there trolling a A rig too but wasn't so lucky. Had the boys out paddling with Justin and his kids. It was more about getting the kids out and trying to catch something on the side. I was surprised how busy it was for sure but a great day for sure.
I'll rest when I'm dead!
