Was thinking about Fishing Miner slough on Saturday and try out the striper bite. Anyone fished this area lately? Ive never kayaked on the delta so i'm curious about the water conditions. is the current too strong for paddling? would most likely launch out of arrowhead marina. any other recommendations for places on the delta with slower moving water? otherwise i may just hit up the sac port / deep water channel.

Thanks
Chris

My buddy Fish Junkie like to fish there for bass. Thinking its still high and muddy still. Port might be your best bet.

Hi Chris.

Today's Stockton Record Fishing Report:
http://www.recordnet.com/sports/20160330/fish-finder-march-30-2016

Reporting that they've reduced flows from the lakes/dams on the Sacto side of the Delta so water is clearing a bit and stripes are starting to show.

This being the first decent weekend for stripers in awhile I'd be concerned about the asshat skipper with the cruiser who could give a rat about his wake and a kayaker in his path.

I'd extend my flag pole and run my strobe all day if it were me.

BE SAFE AND GOOD FISHIN'!!!

Dennis

Thanks for the info.
My buddy and I actually decided to hit Amador instead on Saturday.
Although i may take a drive down on Sunday and check out some locations on the delta.
I will post a report for Amador once we get off the water.
Chris

Current isn't to bad unless you get a big tide but even then it's manageable. The stripe bite should be good that area usually stays a little cleaner than the rest of the sac side
