I like the clip end of it.   Thinking about ordering one.

I dunno... Looks gimicky to me. Simplifying the already simple task of re-tying by... adding an extra tool and a few more steps?

Does it do anything you can't already do faster without needing to fiddle around with an extra tool?

I just keep an NRS "Co-Pilot" knife clipped to my vest. Good idea to have a knife handy, and it does just fine clipping tag ends.

  Thanks...

That's what people said years ago about email/ computers...     :smt044 :smt044

Would be nice not to have to fumble for my glasses to thread the eye.

It looks interesting to me but I'm sure I wouldn't be able to find it when I needed it.  The less stuff on the yak and in my pockets, the better.

I have one. It is handy for lower light conditions. Good for old eyes. I also like it for when my hands are cold. Easy to wear around your neck. I don't use it all the time but it is useful in those situations.

I could see it being very useful when your fingers are cold. I have been fishing for steelhead in Jan/feb in years past and couldnt even tie a knot due to freezing temp.

Thanks !      I was fumbling in the early morning light the other day.   I have OES    Old Eye Syndrome too.

How effective is that clip against braid?

I wear contacts for my astigmatism.  I can have either close up, or distance. I chose distance. Can't see shit up close. This could help with threading eyes and light line knots. Thanks!

I have never tried to cut braid with it. I would still use a scissors.

I saw a discussion of this tool on some other fishing site, but can't seem to find it at the moment. I do recall that they liked it.

Speaking of astigmatism, my eyesight is perfect at computer screen distance (guess I chose the right profession), but not so good at all other distances, so I have glasses for distance. It's annoying to deal with fishing line---my goal is to never have to tie anything OTW...

I could see a niche for it. Having said that, I cut my line at an angle to give it a fine point for threading those eyes.
Been working for 40+ years so far.
The last thing I want to do is add another piece of fishing equipment. Trying to get rid of most things right now and go with the KISS method.
