Grilled Abalone Tacos

1  big ab, sliced and tenderized

2 tbsp EVOO

1 lime, zest and juice

1 tsp  red pepper flakes crushed

1 garlic clove minced

Kosher salt

Corn Tortillas

Slice and prep abalone. Combine EVOO,  lime zest,  red pepper flakes and garlic and pour over abalone and let marinade for 30 mins. After 30 mins squeeze the lime juice over the ab, mix thoroughly and let sit another 10 mins.

Grill skewered abs on high heat approx 1-2 mins per side. Squeeze lime juice and sprinkle with kosher salt as soon as you remove from grill.

Serve on corn tortillas with  your favorite salsa.

Buen Provecho


Dipping Sauce (optional) or favorite salsa

6tbsp honey
3 tbsp red chile paste, such as sambal
2 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
Juice of 1/2 lime
1 garlic clove, minced
1 tspn minced fresh ginger

Mix all ingredients and let marry for 20 mins.
