congrats on the DD, oh and congrats on passing inspections ;)

The Forebay inspections are a lot easier than the main lake because they use common sense.  Dependent on "who" you get, the ones at the main lake are over zealous. There is a difference in doing your job and going overboard. :smt001

I have had the opposite experience. I think it just depends who is doing the inspections and where they get stationed.  There are couple of inspectors who are notorious for their lack of common sense. I've failed in the yak once at the Forebay and have seen the sheriff called in because a guy got so pissed with the inspectors. Beware on the Forebay when the inspections are by the boat ramp instead of by the front gate and there are a bunch of college interns power tripping...

Don't do a last minute wipe down on 152 or where a ranger might see you either. My buddy was seen by the Rangers wiping his boat down and that information got relayed to the gate....needless to say his boat got red banded. The next time in he got asked what the problem was by a curious inspector because it was flagged in the computer. I've been doing a quick check at the lookout point but probably not from now on.
