Back from Japan and ready to fish!! :cowboy_smoke: Was planning on going perching today (Sat) but the rain gods seemed to have something to say about that. Tomorrow seems to look pretty good by the forecast though, so planning on it. Tide turning to high around 12:30 so should be a mid day thang. Company always welcome.

Z, surfline has the waves more than twice as big on sunday as saturday.

they could be wrong, and you can catch fish anyway, but it won't be ideal.

Thanks for the info J. Good call, I'll probably wait for Monday. The swell looks to be massive at Manresa and almost everywhere else tomorrow.

Hey Z or Allen, Did you guys get out there today?
My wife and I took a walk on the beach at Manresa today.Man, the swell really came up since yesterday.I could hear it closing out from my back porch. There was a pretty strong SE wind and a bunch of crosschop.I could literally see sand being piled up on the bars and some new channels have formed from this storm.

I met up with a guy tossing a BIG MO grub, who said he hadn't caught anything but kelp and was about to call it a day.I watched a kite boarder trying to get up/out between closeouts and he took a pounding. He was being dragged one way by his leashed board and another by the kite as it dragged in the surf before he finally got it up. :surf

I didn't get out there for just that reason. Surf sounded like it was gonna be nutso so fgured I'd wait a day and see if it mellows out a little. I heard the swell is supposed to drop fast so planning on going on Mon, my last chance for this week.
