We are getting some EXCEPTIONAL RAIN today. Our modest little creek has become something  of a torrent and has now flooded the road. Just had a SUV end up in the ditch. No one hurt but be carefull out there. WE ARE DOING the el nino thing now.... First time in 6 years creek has swallowed the road :smt007
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

All our rain, is headed to the valley rivers...  :iroc: Might fill up the car and put some spare clothes and some food in just in case. Pull out some cash in case power is out (no ATM or paypoints can leave you stranded) :iamwithstupid:

Got a chance to see the San Lorenzo river in Santa Cruz yesterday, the river is almost fully loaded! maybe 10' below top of jetty? The river bottom is defiantly getting a scrubbing now!

I drove across the Sacramento river at hwy 50 this afternoon on the way back from work and saw several large logs/trees working their way downstream.

I drove over the Cosumnes River on hwy 99 this evening. The water is flowing over the banks into the nearby fields. This is not uncommon during very wet winters, but it's good see again.
