Today (02-02-07) Darin (Sean's Neighbor),  Mahi Mahi and I set of for a 3 1/2 mile river extravaganza.  We met Mahi around 7:30 at the upper fork of the Russian.  We saw 2 other bank fisher-dudes.  One guy hooked and landed a nice hatchery hen (spent and headed down).  Not much further down, Darin had a fish on.  He landed a nice spent hatchery (very clean).  She was released for another day.  It wasn't long before Darin was Fish on AGAIN....  He landed another nice hen NATIVE.....  Maybe a half hour later   GUESS WHAT..... Darin  FISH ON!!!( YES it was getting old!!!!)  This one was a beast and she was very clean....BUT!!!!! about five feet from my grasp, she did a head wiggle and waved bye bye to Darin

DARN?

Maybe 15 min. later the fish god chose me this time and I hooked a Buck (hatchery),  He was 7 1/2 lbs.  and YES he felt the thud of my fish bat...  He is in the Indian Candy secret sauce as I type....  We caught a bunch of little planter steelies (aka bait theifs).  ALL IN ALL A NICE DAY...

Mahi (could you please post the pics you took)
