People here have been braving the rains to get those things. I never tried herring; I always thought of it as bait.. lol.. I guess they're that good if people are filling up their coolers.

That looks like slow pickings compared to what we get in CC usually.  One cast in my beat up castnet with lots of tears will still yield me a five gallon bucket full when they are in there thick. 
This no crabbing thing has really fuck ed up my freezer space since I  planned on using old and refrozen bait and stuff for crab bait.
