Fairly new to ncka and yak fishing. Would love to tag along with someone doing any fishing Monday.

So that wasnt me. Wish it had been. Looked like a great day to be on the water. I did, however, convince the wife to take our yaks out for a) my wife's maiden voyage on a yak (Ocean Drifter), b) my second trip out on my new gem (used 2014 Outback, regular drive), and c) a couple hours of soaking bait. We hit up ARW around 11:30 for the top of the tide and left around 2:15 as it really started ripping outgoing. Saw one other yak fisher, tried to say hi. We were just trying to get some water time so not expecting to catch anything. Met those expectations! Tried drifting herring from ballena to the hornet with nada. A few smelt being caught off the first corner along the wall. Tried to at least get some bait but i think the sabiki rig i had was too large and couldnt keep any herring on the hooks. Great day for a paddle though and stoked that the wife is hooked!

Looks like fun. I'm sure you'll be posting some great fishing reports soon.
