I'm shopping for a very stable kayak that won't kill my back loading onto a roof rack and is "turtle resistant". So far the SC Raptor SOT looks pretty good. Has anybody out there used one or bought one? What did you think? Thanks in advance...

We have not put the G2 into production yet...   About another month to go.

(Drumming fingers on desk top) OK, I guess I can wait. I saw all those videos of them and they look like a really nice boat.

The Raptor SOT is available, but the G2 (with pedal drive option) is coming soon.  There are guys that paddle the Raptor... they probably haven't seen this posting.

I don't have one (yet), but surfingdude paddles a raptor (you might pm him). I see surfindude otw all the time around Santa Cruz and he's always got good things to say about his kayak.

I own a SOT Raptor, It's stable, cruises nicely, and very comfy. In all honesty, it's freakn frackn awesome!!!! I have also been thinking about purchasing another Raptor. The design is like no other and people always ask about it.  Best of all, the owner will help you with whatever you need. Jim is a Great Dude!!!

Thank you all. That looks like a very cool boat indeed. I'm excited and waiting to see the G2-CF in person; it looks exactly like what I need/waaaaant!
