Thinking about adding another FF in your kayak?

I wish but not in the budget for now. 

My experience with those gel-filled connectors is that they are (maybe) water-resistant but they are not waterproof, and the connections fail often.

Water can penetrate the connectors if they are submerged, and the wires are not held snugly in that entry port - when they move around the copper wire strands will snap.

I try & stick with the Ancor brand waterproof heatshrink butt connectors & i dip the tip of the wire in dielectric grease prior to insertion
