Hi guys! I may be doing some big game fishing, and want to have a quick release for my anchor while maintaining the adjustability of a trolly system. This is untested, so I thought I'd post it for your input and critiques. I've run through it in my yard and it seems like it will work, but there is a lot of experience here, so any constructive feed back is welcome!

I had a float that I salvaged from the delta, and ran a piece of shock cord through it with a ring on one side, and a clip on the other. The clip goes to my anchor reel (little anchor, so I added a chain carabinered to it), and the ring  goes to my release line.
The release line is clipped on one end to my trolly ring, though my float ring, and back through my trolly ring. From there I used two  large ram balls as a cleat for the tag end of the release line. Around the cleat twice and tag end in easy reach.
I just pull the tag end up, and it unwinds from the  ball cleat, slips through the trolly loop and the float loop, and I'm free to go on a sleigh ride!
Here is a picture of the whole set up. Close up shots to follow.
(I can only post one picture at a time)

I could see the release line getting tangled in my paddle if I use the holder on that side, so I'll secure my paddle on the other side to be safe.
