I'm in Marin and want to fish the ocean some more.  I've never gone out looking for sand dabs, but with salmon, crabs, and rockfish closed, I am wondering if there are any reasonable places to target sand dabs in a kayak from Marin and Sonoma, which are not too far off shore, or deep.
Has anyone had much experience with this?

Drag a sabiki on the sand tipped with squid. And deep sandy place should have fish on it

Any suggestions as to where to launch?   How deep does it need to be?

As far as being boring,  TV is really boring, on the water looking for anything is better.
Thanks,
Bob

Dabs can be found in as little as a few feet of water (seen them in monterey harbor) and found them as deep as 140/160 before.  Never really targeted them any deeper.  I generally look between 40-140'.  They seem to be larger when I look deeper ... but fewer of them.  Charter boats usually target 50-100' based on past experience.
