Hello NCKAers, happy holidays!
Im a freediver living in Fresno and dives all over California. I love to grab lobsters, pluck abs, and spear fish. I started freediving a few years ago but still a beginner enjoying dives at 10 to 30 ft. Im not much of an angler but have a few traps to go crabbing and lobster hoop netting on the yak.
My main reason to join NCKA is to be part of DOTY. I want to improve my diving skills and I think being part of DOTY will help me stay motivated and committed to do just that.
Looking forward to 2016 and getting a lot of firsts.

Thank you,
Hunter Lee

Welcome aboard.

With a kayak so many things are possible even if your primary passion is diving.  Like kayaking up a river or fishing a lake.  Now don't get me wrong I only do those if the ocean is not diveable but it still gets you outside.

Welcome to the club!
Fish laugh when I paddle by.  Sometimes they laugh so hard they fall on my hook.

Welcome, I am in Fresno also. Mostly into salt fishing on the coast but would really like to try free diving and spearfishing sometime. Seems like it would be an awesome experience.

Thanks guys.

Grim Reefer, let me know if you want to try freediving. I normally go with a couple of buddies from our area.

Good luck and welcome. I probably couldn't compete with some of the DOTY guys, but you'll find some great spearos out there. Stay safe and hope to see you out there!
