Dove Stillwater south Pebble Beach today with a friend from the Retrosub list. We shore dove outside of the big wash rock. Water was flat and beautful - 40'+ viz. Drew did some 40' dives and got a cab and 2 nice rock fish. I got one small and one decent. Saw a nice fat ling and some leopard sharks. Nice to be back in the water.

Nice report.  How do ocean water temps vary with this cold air we have be having over the past few weeks?

My watch said 51 degrees. Pretty toasty for that area. You just never know. The coldest water I ever dove in was just a half mile or so from Stillwater, in the summer. Go figure. I heard that Linda Mar is cold this winter. Still waiting for the winter calm spell there.
