I'm in! I need to break in my new kayak. Maiden voyage of the Thresher tomorrow! It's supposed to be good for surf launching and big water, so I want to put it through the paces tomorrow and see. Who wants to come with? Was thinking Timber Cove or Fort Ross?

We need to recruit Kevin InSearchOfFish to go down the street from his house and shoot some video.

Consider me recruited. Ill try and get some good vid and shots for you guys. Will probably be down at the cove in the morning then go walk the trail along the bluff if its not raining too hard. If anyone wants to meet up and come along just let me know.

A big disappointment, I guess the large swell is not coming in till later today :( I shot some video but the outside rights were only breaking at 10-15 ft and too far to get good shots. Inside lefts were not even breaking into the parking lot. Ill try to get back later, for good footage, but no guarantee.

I was not able to get over to PA today to see it firsthand. I did find this picture and caption from Fort Bragg:

Fort Bragg Advocate-News
Fantastic photo by reader Cathi Love of the Station Noyo River Coast Guard crew heading out of the harbor to practice on rough seas today. The nearest National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration buoy near Point Arena shows wave heights nearing 19 feet this afternoon.

Yeah they have been practicing and rolling around out there.  Lots of fun in a mostly unsinkable boat.  We all know what happened to the titanic.

Heard from a friend that waves were coming all the way up the beach and making it into the parking lot at Dillon Beach earlier this week. Big tides plus big waves from the storms.
