The Position: Kayak Fishing Parts Coordinator

 Kayak and Fishing Parts Coordinator, Hobie Cat Company (Oceanside, CA) Position requires individual with at least 3 years of marketing and product development experience. Strong organizational skills required as position entails maintaining a large selection of products. Must be able to interact and communicate well with customers, vendors, and in-house teams and oversee product life cycles from start to finish. Technically oriented with a strong understanding of Hobie products and fishing; enough so to train order desk staff. Strong writing skills and ability to identify consumer needs in order to implement instructions and sales pieces. Some experience with video production and script writing. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to be involved in a wide variety of duties. Strong people skills a must. Salary DOE. -

•Oversee all kayak fishing related parts and accessories for Hobie Cat Company.
•   Work with vendors to add/remove product, negotiate pricing, and attain imagery and written content for catalog
•   Work with Director of Parts & Accessories for system and catalogue inclusion and layout.
• Work with Product Manger to create new products and oversee product creation life cycle.
•Create instructions and keep existing instructions up to date.
•   Create bill of materials and keep existing bill of materials up to date.
•   Work with merchandising to create callouts and make sure packaging and labels are up to date.
• Create instructional "How to" videos, how to install, how to use, how to maintain
•   Create marketing content, scripts, videos, written content, photographs to promote products.
• Monitor market for needed parts and accessories or new creations.
•   Assist customers with fishing related parts and accessories questions.
•   Provide assistance on forums, social media and other platforms.
•Get rid of old or discontinued inventory.
•   Work with Fishing Product Manager on new product announcements, PR, and launches.
•   Suggests products to showcase for trade shows, ads, TV Show, Fishing Team
•   Source fishing promotional items for giveaways
