The old grip wasn't really working for me.
It was basically a piece of metal rod in the shape of a "U" with some electrical tape wrapped around it and a bungie cord.
Didn't like the way it held the bow a little different every time.
I've had this old boat trailer roller for some time. I know it can make great spacers if you cut it to the length you need. That's the only reason I kept it around for so long.
Well today I finally got an idea to put it to use.
I cut it to the length I needed, filed a groove into it to slip the bow into (which was very easy to do). Made a velcro strap to hold the bow. Fashioned a bracket and put it all together.
Works GREAT!
The only thing I'm going to do tomorrow is make the groove a little deeper. Should take all of a minute.
I made the video in response to a question on Archery Talk. Figured I'd share it here if anyone was going to make their own shooter.
