Sorry, not a yak report but the drift boat is close enough right?  :smt001
Had a cancellation Saturday so loaded up my middle-boy and brother and headed over the hill to Baum Lake, just east of Burney.  We got a super late start to avoid the chilly temps, and it was mere minutes until Jake hooked/landed his first brown of the day.  Fresh nightcrawler, cast, wait a minute, and repeat.  Again.  And again.  He soon got bored (he is 6 after all), so we set him up with binoculars and candy while we got some fly action and hardware slinging in.  More browns, a few rainbows, no monsters but nice clean fish.  The Baum never disappoints!

Tight lines,

Nice to get your son on some fish.
I was at Baum earlier this year for the first time, definitely going back.

Nice Ben!  I didn't know there were Browns in Baum.  I always thought there was just Rainbows.

P.S.  Do you even take you kayak out anymore?  :smt003  Okay I just saw your report from today.  You do.

Ha!  The drift boat has definitely seen more action than the Outback the past few months for sure, but I really haven't been doing much fishing myself.  Lots of rowing, lots of rigging, lots of watching guys catch fish....which is certainly a good thing, but its kind of nice for the temperatures to drop and interest in trips to fade so I can get back out and pull on a few.
