I hear ya kokoloco.  Im gonna wait til Thursday/Friday to see if the reports change a bit.  Whats making the decision tough for me, as Im looking to go to TC on Sunday, was how the swells were supposed to be the same size this past Saturday but Bmb ended up having good conditions.

They all lie....if it looks a little too lumpy we're gonna try Sherman Lake.....lots of stripers and black bass....I've been told.

Weather seems to be shaping up pretty well for Saturday...I might be up for a drive for some Ling action for the Holloween, I hope I dont hit traffic going back home. I wanna stay local but dont want to go out myself.

Kokoloco & Darius are you guys planning to go?  The wind looks like it's going to be down.  The long period swell might make for some slow fishing, but I'm itching to get on the water.  I'm in if you guys or anyone else is going.

At this point I think we're a go.  5-6 ft at 15-17 seconds looks quite do-able.  Unless the forecast changes for the worse I'm looking forward to putting the hurt on the ling population.

If you see four idiots in a 18' PB show up, give us a shout on the radio.   :smt006

We'll be straight out from the cove in 130 of water trying to sabiki up some sand dabs.

I maybe up for a drive, will be there around 7ish and need to be out of the water by noon, I dont want to hit the traffic in the City coming back. Still 50/50 though, like I said I worry about getting stuck and wifey wont forgive me.

After waking up late, I managed to get to Timber Cove by 7:15.  I waited until 7:35 and no one else showed, so I headed to OC instead, since I am familiar with the launch and the water there.  Water was really bumpy!  Serious mixed swell, but no wind.  Surf was coming right into the cove!  From a kayak perspective it was fun! By 11:00 the water had calmed down some.

Met up with a couple other Kayak anglers and joined their group.  The fishing was SLOW!  I had one small canary, released, and no other bites.  With the water so rough I was concerned about fishing too close to the rocks, so we fished the open water outside the cove.

I had hoped to have a better season finale, but it was still nice to be on the water!

Sorry to stand you up Reelmccoy.  We had a late start and didn't get there until 8 AM.  The water was getting crazy with white caps out beyond the point and big rollers coming up on the beach.  We called it and headed to Ft. Ross access to check it out.  There we ran into some Norcal guys(didn't get any names) having a not so good day.  One guy lost his Mirage drive over the side of the boat.....OH SH**!  Another guy in a PA-12 almost rolled over on the surf line when retrieving..... well lets see how Tomales Bay looks.  By the time we arrived it was 10:30 and by the time we would have launched it would be 11....a little late for for my schedule.  We called it a day and headed to Jack in the Box to drown our sorrows. :(.  The season is open until the end of the year so.....I'll be back!

No worries about the standup.  Sorry you did so much driving and no fishing!  I have been figuring this was likely my last availability for the year.  That said post a hookup and I'll try be there!

The wife and I were camping at TC all weekend, the green Van. I never got close to going out, confused seas. We had a great time just hanging out. I loned my dive flash light to a guy and he gifted me a couple Urchins :smt003.
