hoping to pick up a new kayak hobby

hey guys.. i'm new

love to go crabbing and fishing with my buddies in the ocean, don't want to own a boat, and they don't go often enough.  also have a few young kids, so i might as take the time to have fun and figure things out before i introduce it to them. 

looking to go crabbing on nov7th, then hit up the rivers/lakes.

Welcome aboard.  There are great tutorials on this wonderful hobby along with info on targeting crabs from kayaks.  If you are not that familiar with kayaking you should go out an practice right now before crab season.  Adding extra gear that can move around or put kayak off balance if not properly stowed should only be done after you get some experience.
