I am going to check out California city tomorrow am. High tide looks to be about 630am. Any one want to join? I heard they were getting a few salmon there.

Can't make it tomorrow, but I was thinking the same thing. Hit it at the top of the tide and there is always a chance. There have been some halis and stripers (mostly schoolies) around there last couple of weeks as well. Good luck, look forward to your report.

Went for a great paddle yesterday morning. Launched at paradise around 730 am. There was no wind at all. I did a few laps out in front of point chauncy but was not lucky. I was out until about 10 am. There were two other boats out there.  I didn't see either of them catch anything. I Just did not get lucky on catching salmon. Ended the day pretty close to raccoon strait at 10 am. It was a pretty nice paddle back against the outgoing tide.

I hear that this spot can be hit or miss. I had a whole scoop of live anchovies that I left in my truck because I wanted to go specifically for salmon and didnt want mess with having too much gear on board.

Ya that paddle back from raccoon against the tide SUCKS! But theres fish over there  :smt007. Always fish keil cove for awhile ive fished that cove 7 or 8 times with one skunking.Thats where I got my 30lb halibut last june. And  fyi, a big fyi, if you hit up the park rangers that usually chill in the office they will let u drive down to the launch instead of that discusting uphill hike. Hit them up!
