My mom flew into town from Alaska the other day.  I figured a leisurely drive down HWY 1 would be a fun thing to do.  It was nice...beautiful day hardly a cloud in the sky.  What was so amazing to me though was all of the whale spouts I saw while driving.  We drove down to Pacific Valley and I must have counted at least 20-30 whale spouts.  I even saw a whale come all the way out of the water and the mountain of water that went skyward from the splash.  All this while driving.  Anyway, just wanted to share in case any whale watchers are looking for something to do.
