Taking the wife to Cabo next week for our anniversary, and we're looking to do some fishing. I've looked through the archives and gleaned some stuff, but some of it's from several years ago. Anyone have goods/bads/uglies about different charter companies? We're looking to do at least one offshore trip for billfish, and one inshore trip for Dorado/Roosterfish/Wahoo.

I have heard there is pretty good kayak fishing up the East Cape, anyone know of any companies that do kayak trips? I doubt we'll check the Malibus, so we'll need to rent some.

What hotel are you staying at? Are you staying in Cabo San Lucas, San Jose Del Cabo or along the corridor? That will help to determine where you are going to fish from. Unless you're renting a car and don't mind driving.

You do know that they are experiencing a lot of rain down there now right?

We're at the Hilton, halfway between CSL and San Jose del Cabo. We'll also have a car, and expect to do a bit of driving up and down the coast.

As for the weather, we've had the trip planned for a while, we'll just hope for the best!

Book you fishing trip as soon as you arrive, that way you can reschedule if necessary or go out multiple times if the fishing is red hot.  You are hitting the big Marlin time of year right now and tournament season down there, so once again get something scheduled as soon as possible.  Also be willing to pay a little more to go out with someone good.  Check out Minerva's and Pisces fleet.  Unless you are loaded, then you can go with Picante.  The main thing is to go out with someone that is knowledgeable and has good gear.  A lot of the cheaper charter boats will take you out and fish inshore to save gas.

Have fun!  I wish I was going. [emoji23]

Looks like you'll get some rain but hopefully it will be calm enough to get out and fish.

I've been going down there regularly for many years and have been fishing with Jaime Rendon Captain and owner of Dr. Pescado Sport Fishing for the past 10 years or so.

I usually fish with just him and me on his super panga.
He also has a crusier as well but I've only been on that twice.
I've caught pretty much most fish in Baja with him except maybe a Black Marlin and Swordfish.

There are a lot of options to chose from but like Brett said book asap and hopefully a window opens up for fishing.

Good luck and let me know if you need any other info.
