So I am new here and still trying to figure this place out.  I was introduced to this forum by a guy named Luis. I seen him at the lingcod tournament in ocean cove this past weekend. I have always been a fan of kayaking but never gave it it chance. After seeing you all out there I was amazed and it really peaked my interest that much more and I started asking Luis questions about ocean kayaking. He told me to come here do research and also told me about the shop Head Waters kayak since he figured that was the closest place to were I live. I have been a trout and bass fisherman for sometime now and recently began fishing out in the delta were I live in the east bay. With no luck I was asked to go on a trip to half moon bay for lingcod. I was hooked. So now I am interested in getting myself set up with a kayak and see what I can do out in the delta since I haven't had any luck the last time I went out and then make my way out in ocean coves. I hope to become a member of this group someday but like I said I am new here. So hi guys.

Welcome to the forum! I'm totally new to this as well though without much extensive fishing experience. I used to go trout fishing with my dad when I was younger but that was long enough ago that I'm basically a beginner again.

I'd be happy to hear about any spots you know about in the delta. I'm aiming to fish on the coast as well, but it would be nice to have some spots closer to home (Concord).

It's good to see another local on the forum.

Seabird I hate to say that I can't give you anything good. Hahaha I have been out in the delta about 4 time to fish for Stergion in a buddy's boat with no luck But I have been out to Rio Vista to fish. I am new to the Bay Area myself, been here for about 5 years. I do go lake fishing around here like the contra Loma lake and the Del vale not sure how to spell. Those lakes have trout put into them so it fun sometimes. But I'm Sorry I can't help with fishing spot on the delta I'm still learning myself out here.
