When I first read the title of this thread I was not sure who's birthday it was.  But after I saw you picture, it all made sense.  Happy birthday you big goofy bastard!!!   

thanks folks--cool place here--you know I only wanted to learn what reel to use and what gear---I thought maybe pick up some fishing tips---But this community has turned into quite a bit more-with the campouts and events and ball busting online----I have met many people--my Wife loves the kayaking and even is going to try to dive for abs next---this feeling of friends and more to meet soon at all these great events is really way more than I could have guessed at the beginning -this also holds true for some like minded folks I've met otw who are mostly lurkers but fish a ton and make some events.....
9/11/66 is my real b-day I put wrong stuff in the open forum profile 49 today
so....thanks....did I mention I see U.F.O's from time to time

p.s thanks to this place--I spent today solo freediving off Carmel pt  ... shot my first Cabazon and a colorful nice stringer of rockfish and perch---so much info and motivating members (Big Jim)and great  posts here helped me to get geared up diving--thanks folks

nothing huge--I saw lot of smaller fish and tried to leave them alone--I shot anything big enough to grill  --- I was told by someone-- to shoot shoot shoot -and learn how to undo the fish and re-load and tread water while this is going on--and that was today....fun day

I saw a really nice Cabby and tracked it as it swam by away 4 feet and paused again----heart beating/excited ..pressured trigger anddddddddd  --still had my safety 'on'  my  Rob Allen rail gun  ......by the time I got the safety off with my gloves on the Cabby had gone under a crack--and I was all out of air -I wanted to stay and chase it bad,but had a hard enough time getting up as it was..this happened a few times where I saw things to explore and was timed out--had to leave time to make it back topside...learning  ...oh well....no big fish pics today
