Hi, I'm looking at possibly purchasing a pedal drive yak. Just want to make sure I don't waste my time if I can't reach the pedals. Anyone got any specs specific to the pedal distance? I only have a 26.5 inseam and want to make sure the yak fits me. Looks like there is an upgrade for shorter lengths to minimize you knees going back too far.  I'll of course demo it if available but don't want to waste anyones time if the pedals are too far.

I only ask because it happened to me already. Bought an Eddyline Denali from a place in Sacramento and the foot pegs were way too far for me to reach even with the seat adjusted as close to the bow and the foot pegs set as close to the seat as possible. Good thing Dan at Headwaters bailed me out and let me trade it in for an Eddyline Journey with an awesome trade in.

Unfortunately I don't have that info on me right now. But I'll find out.

I believe that it should fit for you though with the seat pushed all the way forward.  I'm about a 29-30 inseam and can pedal it fine pushed back at least a few inches.

Slayer owner chiming in here. I have a 28" inseam and I can get plenty close with a few more inches of adjustment left. I don't think you'll have an issue.

Santa Cruz Raptor SoT - sold
Hobie Outback - sold

Awesome!! Thank you. I'm already in touch with Dan at Headwaters Kayaks. He is in touch with the rep regarding the 2016 models. He doesn't have any new shipments at the moment. He did tell me that Native merged with Hurricane. I also asked him about the rumors/issues I've heard about the pedal gear issues. There suppose to be an improved design so I'll find out more later :)

The pedals should be the same for 2016. There will be an increase in price as well. I talked to Woody who said that he thinks it should fit fine for anyone 5' or taller. Only different for 2016 is one additional color as well as the new FX propel, which looks real nice, and has one new upgrade that everyone has been asking for... ;)

Just found out that Headwaters Kayaks will not be bringing in the 2016 models. No specifics as to why. Possible new line from another kayak company but not sure about the latter.

I think we may be getting a new dealer in 2016. I'll look into it.

I agree. Dan is the reason why I'll go  all the way to Lodi to make a big purchase instead of the nearby stores in Sac.
