Big fire just started at Lake Berryessa on the south side

Greaves road is Markley cove

Yup, its the ridge just east of Markley Cove above the dam. There are some crazy cellphone videos of hikers and swimmers racing back down the trails with flames coming across the path. Scary stuff.

Evacuations:   Quail Canyon and Golden Bear Communities under mandatory evacuations. Canyon Creek and Lake Solano Campgrounds have been evacuated.

RED CROSS has opened an Evacuation Center at the Winters Community Center, 201 Railroad Ave, Winters, CA.

A large animal evacuation center is opened at 29775 County Road 31, Winters, CA. 
Road Closures :   Hwy 128 from Wragg Canyon to Pleasants Valley Rd. North of Mix Canyon 
Cause:   While initially reported as a vehicle accident, the cause is under investigation.

Conditions:   Firefighting personnel continue to aggressively work in treacherous terrain, providing structure defense and improving containment lines. The wildland fire increased in size during the evening. The terrain is brush covered, rugged and steep, with difficult access. Winds are erratic. Additional resources have been ordered. 200 structures threatened in the Quail Ridge Community. Road closure at Hwy 128 and Wragg Canyon to through traffic.

Incident Command Team 6 will assume management of the incident at 1800 today.
