Hi All,

I'm new to Kayak fishing, I've demoed a few yaks and really enjoyed them. But I would like to figure out, if there is a way to rent a yak and be able to fish out of it. I want to make sure that Kayak "Fishing" is what I really want to do. I loved the kayaks themselves, but I want to be sure that I can also fish out of it. So are there any stores which let you rent kayaks and then fish out of them in the Santa Cruz Area.

Thanks,
Aidan

you can rent a basic SOT fishing kayak in Capitola at Capitola boat and Bait and at SC at Kayak Connection.  KC might let you try out other types as a demo. Give them a call.

I have found best deal on rental cars from airports from costcotravel.com if you are a member. A coupke years ago, I rented a compact for $2.50/ day . Granted that it was in Oklahoma city.
