Ran the Wharf to Wharf with my Team Mooch jersey on yesterday and had a great time thinking about Joel and taking him along with me to see all the great scenery.. :smt004

Ran into Goz' wife Naomi at the start...in front of Kayak Connection...and then again just past Twin Lakes!  :smt001

My niece starting running with me and then after two miles or so decided she wanted to walk...so we stopped at Kayak Connection and waited for her Mom and Ana to come so I could hand her off safely.

A little bit later I heard "BigJim!" and looked up and there was Sonny (Mudshark) and Joe (birddog)! Ran up to the balcony where they were chilling, they offered me a cold Silver Bullet and of course I said yes!

 :smt001

The runners below were all jealous to see me run up and get the frosty cold beverage!!  :smt005

The energy from the C- allowed me to finish the last 3 miles with a smile.  :smt004

Great time as always and I know Mooch was looking down and approving and smiling.

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

That's awesome!

We were thinking of you yesterday. Glad you had a good run. The smiles in the pics say it all.

NICE!!!

Dude...I'm soooo sore.  :smt005 :smt044

Haven't run since....I think the Nike Women's half last October?  :smt005 :smt044

Felt ok running...just beat up today....the during and post race "hydration" with cold beers prolly didn't help though.  :smt044

Next up is Nike again in October...probably should train a little...  :smt005

Jim

Good Run, lil' Mooch time, and a medicinal Barley pop for hydration, sounds like a great day.  As for "soooo sore", as you get older, if it don't hurt a bit  it isn't working. :smt002

I volunteered this year and was 1 of 2 guys that set up the water stations.  Then kicked back up above kayak connections, listened to the band and drank bloody Mary's.  I saw Big Jim with his mooch strong t-shirt.  I would have yelled but my mouth was full of libations.

The first water stop was at the crows nest and was ran by the Scotts Valley Football Team.  When we went back at the end to clean up the football coach was besides himself and was just mumbling about how 17,000 people just ran by all wanting water.  Total mayhem.  Great event and will do it again next year.
