Hey Mooch,
New member here from Florida. But I'm a long ago NorCal guy, having attended both Stanford and Cal during my misspent and not so misspent college days. In answer to your Florida question, yep--yakfishing is big back here. Lots of it going on all over the State. In my area of North Florida, seatrout, redfish, and an occasional tarpon are prized catches. In South Florida, tarpon and snook are the go-to guys.along with a bunch of others including even sailfish. Here are a couple of links to our local North Florida clubs:

It looks like Florida kayaks need CF #'s, I took a look @ the forums page....Wow!... :smt007... I been told " If I ever made it to Florida, I would never come back.......They sure have alot of nice water to fish,.............Danglin
