Went to Sherman with a friend Friday 8th. We launch the boat after 45 min. of trying to put the cover and side shields on his alumweld with freezing fingers. Not to much fun yet. So we launched went about 20 yards and saw Mr Striper chasing bait. My friend says hey look, didn't you bring a bass rod. Yep with my favorite lure ready to go. Five cast later I had hooked up with 5 stripers from 5 to 6 lbs. I was catching and Steve was nettin. Ended up with about 10 stripers then went sturgeon fishing. All the action on stripers was all in about 45 min. No joy on the sturgeon and that what we were targeting.

Thanks for the report  :smt023 I'll be making my way there pretty soon :smt002

Looks like the fishing made up for the crappy weather  :smt003

Nice haul. Right off the launch? That would have been great for kayaks. I have got try that place.
