My yacht is no more.  After coming home from our clamming trip, while taking her off the truck, I noticed the floor had separated from the pontoon.  For a vinyl inflatable she's lasted for well over 12 years.  Lots of fish and fond memories.

It's hit me harder than I thought it would.  I did get it about the same time my oldest was born and for years used it about 3 times a week.

Glen, I'm keeping the motor and looking for another inflatable while I wait to fix this one, maybe.

I was digging through files looking for a picture, but I don't think I ever took one of it out on the water.  Bummer.

12 years is about right for a good Zodiac or Avon inflatable boat.  They can be fixed, usually, but I'm not sure how much the price would be.  There are a few shops in the bay area that specialize in pvc & hypalon boats.

I gave Sal in Alameda a pre-buy call for a fixer-upper on Craigslist about a year ago.  Sounded fairly reasonable on the repair, with the assumption that the repair would have been done right.  Cost prohibitive for me given I'd have had to buy the boat to get it fixed, but if I already owned it, I certainly give the guy a call/visit  to get an estimate.
