Well Guys-

Got off early and decided to hit Del Valle on my way home. Weather looked like it was going to hold out for a while. I hit and the lake to see that the water level was low... really low. Saw a few boats anchored right in front of the docks. Didn't see anybody hooking up so I paddled out. Ran into 1CRZYIND(ian) out there on a decked out tarpon. Chatted with him briefly and headed on out... nice meeting you. Anyways, I hit the usual spots for 5 LMB... nothing over 14" though. The wind came up big time... then... the rain... time to go bye bye... cranked up, paddled in and that was pretty much that... I left but 1CRZY stuck it out there. Don't know his final tally... I'll let him ring in for that. All I can say... is that the fishing pretty much sucked... but, it was way better than not fishing at all...

It was not the greatest of days, as mentioned before the wind was almost unberabile. I got on the water around 9ish and set out a minnow in front of the boat launch. I had a lot of hits but no sticks for the first hour. decided to troll a little further down and nailed a rainbow using a lucky craft crank bait . Stopped in the general area and set out another minnow again an got a 17" striper released. No love for awhile and figured I would go see were Freddie was did not want to think about the paddle back due to the strong winds. On the way to the back I was casting out with the lucky craft  again  and got another small striper just past the islands on right hand side. That as pretty much it for me that day the wind was so bad before I left that I was in full paddle mode and going backwards about 1.5mph it reminded me of the forebay .
Nice meeting you Freddie , it seems we have a friend in common I spoke with Eric (gto 19) and tells me you are quite the fisherman. Eric is the one who got me started in the sport. Well I hope to fish with you again in the future until then FISH ON,FISH ON!!!!!!!!!!

James-

I was hoping to hear that you ripped them up after I left. I was beginning to think that I took off a little too early. It seemed like the wind was dying down... but, I guess it was still gusting pretty good. The paddle back to the lauch was pretty brutal... I was basically going nowhere at one point. It's all good though... That's funny that you know Eric he lives about 10 minutes away from me. I haven't been able to fish with him in quite a while... maybe a little too long. Lately, I haven't been able to do any serious fishing... but, when I get a chance to... I'm there. Hopefully, we can share some water again sometime...

Tight lines...

Freddie
