Stripers say " It's to cold " in Discovery Bay

Went to check out the " Hot bite " @ Discovery Bay ...Marked a few schools on bait, but they were'nt taking, about 6 other boats working with minnows, no love,

felt lucky I picked up a small schoolie trolling a pointer..........saved the total skunk ........Danglin

i got to clean the garage.

Good news is I found a couple reels that i didn't know I had....

A Daiwa and an Optimus bass reels, levelwind, low-profile types.  I think they were in a box of old fishing stuff I bought at a yard sale.

(I got two boxes of stuff and a saxaphone for 100$.  Tenor.  Great deal for the sax alone.)

Anyway, I will never use these reels so if one of you bassin' type guys wants them......???  Trade?  Christmas gift?

Where do you launch at Discovery Bay? I know they have a boat ramp, do they charge to launch a kayak?

Al, I did it once and the marina proprietor said its FREE if you DON'T use the BOAT RAMP!  check in w/him to confirm that though.  lots of side areas

Hunter is right. If you use the ramp, it's 10 bucks. But if you use the gas dock, over by the propane tanks, it's free. I carried my yak up the small amount of stairs, rigged up, then wheeled it down the ramp to the gas dock. Worked out well except for the " Lock Jaw " Stripers down below............Danglin
