I have never fished there, but it looks good on google earth.  I would go either north or south from sand harbor and hit some of the dropoffs.  Early morning troll/rip trout pattern crank baits.  As soon as the sun comes up I would start trolling deeper.

Let us know how it goes.

I have no first hand knowledge of fishing north Tahoe, but I recommend you call Mountain Hardware and Sports at (530) 587-4844.  Yes, it's a hardware store, but with one of the most extensive fishing departments in the area.  They are my "go to" guys for fishing info.  You can also call Swigard's Hardware in Tahoe City at (530) 583-3738.  Another very good source and good folks.
Good luck!
Ron.

North lake is tough but gets way less pressure from sand harbor head south

I did well off sand harbor a few years back. I'm sure those fish are still there.  Launch out of sand harbor, find sand point, follow the point all the way out with electronics.  Eventually it will drop into 120-250 range and you'll see fish on it.  jig on those fish with a 3-4 oz jig, p-line makes a good one, tipped with minnows captured from the shallows (i dropped a minnow trap off the point and did fine with dry dog food).
