Cherry season has arrived in my part of the valley. It is a light crop this year so expect high prices. Don't mix with milk when you eat them or you'll learn what a real cherry bomb is.

$4/lb out here in Brentwood. A decent yield this year. Most will be open through memorial weekend.

Thanks for the headsup guys!! We do cherry picking out of Brentwood every year and the family loves it. I think it was last year when the season was really really short.

Cherries on the levee, across from Decker Island, 1st day for the season, $45 a box, last Thursday, $35 a box (18#).   I get 2-3 boxes a year, spread them between friends and family then with the rest, rinse, pull the stems and freeze, eat'em frozen all year long.

Brooks right now, Bings soon.

We just came back from Brentwood (otherwise I would've been fishing).  Nice crop at $3.50/#.  All the Moms in our family are getting cherries instead of flowers this year.   :smt003

Cherries with milk?

Like, in a cherry milkshake?  Cherry ice cream?  Cherry yogurt?
