was wondering if anybody ever caught a hali out of t.c ?
or is that a impossible feat ?

I'm assuming that T.C. stands for timber cove. :smt002 If so, I have only ever seen one guy who had a hali, but I have never caught one there. Hope this helps. Sorry if your not talking about Timber Cove.

I caught a 19 incher last year on 2 oz jig head and 5 inch swim bait.  Released it.

 I asked and old-timer there once if anyone catches any halibut on that part of the coast. He said the only one he has heard of was from anchor Bay.
That big long beach in front of Gualala looks promising though.

My fishing Buddy Yazheng caught a sand dab at TC last year.  Only one I have ever seen.

I saw a fairly big halibut off the dark sand beach just south of TC a few years back, in about 15' of water. On super calm days we used to ab dive the south point. The boulders there are as big as houses and there are big abs back in the gaps. I didn't have a spear with me or we would have had halibut that night. I swam right down and got within a couple of feet before it moved.
