planning a trip here. Water is very low. No ramps avail for boat launch but you can get close and the ground is no longer muddy since the lake has been low for some time now. Bro-in-law was there off the shore Sat 1-4 and saw a large trout caught, heard catfish are caught over nite and NO boats or yaks have been on the water nor the last time he went there. So, we are gonna give it a go n see what is biting if anyone wants to tag along. Im thinking getting there at about 9am and launch.

Hi, how did Hensley trip go? I am in Madera and thought about going.  I went to ISE Sacramento and saw Headwaters and others there.  Nice event.  Did you catch any fish??

The last ramp is closed, but the water is right at its edge so an easy park n walk down the ramp. I fished for bass n cats. Maybe got one bite on a live minnow-came back damaged n dead. Nothing else. LOTS of carp all over on the surface and under per FF. Saw what I thihnk were bass stacked vertically and on the bottom, but no bites. Deepest spot I found on the lake was 34', temp 47-49. On shore a few people got trout, but it wasnt good for sure. No other yaks on the water. Should be good come March-April.
