I've been spending a lot of time out at folsom lake this past week. I've had some amazing days and one day I was skunked. The bass bite was pretty good last Wed & Fri then shut off for me Sat after the storm. So after getting skunked Sat I was right back on the water Sun morning.

Had a take down and brief fight with a bass soon after launching and he came unbuttoned. Decided to head to a spot I've been checking out and try for some bottom feeders. Well I found them in numbers and size. Carp & cats up to 12+ pounds.  Went back today and got back into them again. Didn't keep anything but man hooking up and fighting big carp & cats on light gear is a riot. I will be taking Skylar out as soon as she is feeling a little better so she can do battle and feel the strength of these beasts.

Right on, James!

How are you targeting the carp, if you don't mind sharing?
