Just saw this over on the FB NCUH page:

Yesterday a big GW took a seal about 25 yards from the rocks at Timber Cove. The attack was witnessed by the person I spoke with, a local lady who works at the Ft. Ross store. She was all a twitter by what she saw.

Not sure how credible this is but just wanted to give a heads up. :smt006

Probably still there.  Once the food source is found. I like it.

Vis was very comparable to Jim's video. Popped 2 abs slightly under 9inches for some housemates that were requesting some. Also found this huge uni wall that started at 20' and bottomed out at around 30'. Harvested 14 for my Loose Screw brothers back in camp. Left a shitload for future harvest. Besides soaring underwater in very low vis against a large rock wall littered with softball sized uni is pretty sketchy  :smt009

Also came back with one ling, two blacks that were hook and line caught and one dungie from my trap  :smt001

Good....one less furbag to worry about...

And one more GWS to worry about!  Not a good trade-off.

Obviously a sea lion, not a seal.  If that shark survived it will probably avoid large sea lions in the future.

I'd take 100 furbags over 1 GWS any day.
