It's a beefed up shamano trinadad.  the gear ratio to high in my opinion.  the diawa saltiga or saltist is a better choise for what we do.

for us, I'd say the seaboy 185 is the call... 

$40, only 15oz.

go retro.  narrow spool jigmaster!

I sold my 330 gti on ebay for $50, now I can start to think about some kind of higher drag capacity
reel, certainly a narrow jigmaster would be good if a little heavy, but I will probably hold out for a left hand retrieve
newell 220 spooled with a serious pile of 30lb braid.

I'd still like Alan's feedback on the Penn Surfmaster. Squidder sized, and uses plain bearings. Unfortunately, used ones don't come cheap.

I'm liking my Penn 525 GS. $60, hecka big drags, at least compared to the Abu's. Not too heavy.  I've also heard rumors that you can flip the Anti-Reverse bearing and turn them into lefties.
